les moutons électriques, éditeur

Small publishing-house localized in Lyons, les moutons électriques, éditeur —in English the electric sheep, publisher— were founded in 2004 by a group composed of writers, translators, graphic designers and others fans of imaginary literatures, as science fiction or fantasy.

A brief summary

My friend André-François Ruaud had an old dream: creating his own publishing-house; and finally, after several years of brainstorming and indecision, he did it. For making his new society better known, he wanted to put online quickly a website. At once, he asked me for creating some temporary pages to present the project and introduce the first book he was preparing: these pages had been online only during the summer 2004. They were followed by two other successive versions designed by different people.

In September 2006, he contacted me once again to conceive a fourth version of this site, with an aim of building it on a dynamic structure, in order to improve his management and to enrich it with additional material.

The fifth version was born during the summer 2008. Directly developed from the previous version, it takes back its structure, focusing the books presentation with a more airy and colorful styling.

The latest evolution of the moutons électriques’s website isn’t so blatant: however, under the hood, several structural changes can now display a new link on some pages, a link that points to the digital version of a book —when it’s available— on Numilog platform, the new electronic provider.
